Howard University invites applications for two tenure-track, assistant/associate professor positions to begin Fall 2010. Candidates are sought with a strong psychometrics/quantitative background and preferably with a specialization in clinical psychology, social psychology, or developmental psychology. Requirements: (1) Ph.D. in psychology (will consider ABD with Ph.D. imminent), (2) commitment to excellent teaching, and (3) research promise/accomplishment. Duties include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, advising, mentoring students, and university service. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in the applicant's area of specialization as well as research methods and statistics courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Send letter of interest, CV, a research statement, three recommendation letters, graduate transcripts, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and up to three samples of scholarly work to: Chair, Search Committee, Department of Psychology, 525 Bryant Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20059. Review of applications will begin February 25, 2010 and continue until the position is filled. Filling this position is contingent on the availability of funds.
