NIHS 2010 Annual Conference
The Whole is Greater Than the Sum of its Parts: Collaborations for Strengthening Communities
October 27-30, 2010

Communities across the country face common and persistent challenges. Each community, however, faces those challenges in a unique cultural and historical context, and with a unique set of assets. Human Services, perhaps more than any other helping profession, honors the strengths of communities and is committed to working in a community context. The faculty, students, and practitioners who are members of NIHS bring clear strengths to the table in meeting community challenges. For our 2010 conference, we seek to focus on how those strengths can be brought into active collaboration with community agencies, advocacy groups, and citizens with the common goal of strengthening communities.

CONFERENCE FEE: $295 for current members, $155 for current student members register online, here.

CONFERENCE LOCATION: Eastland Park Hotel, Portland, Maine.
