The goal of this meeting is to bring together disparities researchers, policy experts, and community leaders interested in designing and executing goal-directed interventions to improve cancer health disparities. Our objectives include informing the discussion of cancer care disparities and the impact of the economy on these inequities, discussing the efficacy of specific community-level interventions and policy initiatives in this area, and setting an agenda moving forward on specific actions to address these problems.

We are honored to have a diverse and interesting group of invited participants, including:
* Harold Freeman, MD – President of the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention and Senior Advisor to the National Cancer Institute
* Peter Bach, MD – Noted health services researcher and medical oncologist, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
* Kevin Volpp, MD, PhD – The Wharton School of Business and University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine
* Christopher Ruhm, PhD – Health economist from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro
* Lovell Jones, PhD – national leader in health disparities research and advocacy, Director of Center for Research on Minority Health, MD Anderson Cancer Center

Please come and participate in this important event, open to the public.
