This website is provided as a public service. When you visit the ESIN website, the system stores information on the IP address from which you accessed the Internet, the date and time, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site, the names of the files you accessed, the keywords you used to search the site, and the browser used to view our site.

 

We use this information to measure the number of visitors to the various sections of our site and identify system performance or problems. We also use this information to help us identify user interests, to improve the site, and to serve you better.

 

We also store the information that you provide in your application and in the Member, Research, and Career Forums. We will not obtain information that will allow us to personally identify visitors to the site, unless they chose to provide such information to us by registering as affiliates or submitting an application to become an ESIN member. Registered affiliates have limited access to site areas that are otherwise available to early, middle, and senior level scholar members.

 

Personal and professional information submitted to our minority scientist databank is stored in a secure database and restricted for use by registered users only. The biographies are compiled and remain accessible to members and affiliates. CVs submitted by users for review by employers are also accessible to all approved users of the site.

 

We do not give, share, sell, or transfer any personal information to a third party without the consent of the subjects involved. In the application, you will have the option to restrict the viewing of your personal and professional information.

 

When inquiries are e-mailed to us, we store the question and the e-mail address information so that we can respond electronically. Unless otherwise required by statute, we do not identify publicly who sends questions or comments to our website.
